Job overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Site Manager to join our expanding Estates team who will keep the school premises maintained to a high standard, ensuring a safe learning environment for our children.
Our Assistant Site Manager will partner with our Site Manager to be responsible for the school maintenance and security, including the opening and locking of the premises which may require you to be available outside of normal working hours where the Site Manager is unavailable.
As part of your important and varied role, tasks will include:
- Any additional cleaning where required
- Setting of security alarm systems
- Carrying out security checks
- Respond to emergency calls
- Re-decoration
Minor maintenance work as agreed with your line manager, e.g. minor plumbing, carpentry, light bulb change, unblocking of drains, repairing furniture, litter picks, gritting, sweeping etc.
The working pattern of this post can be discussed, and suitable hours agreed for the right candidate. Therefore ideally you will be flexible to change, organised and confident working on your own initiative.
About You
GCSE Maths and English grade C or equivalent desirable
Previous Handyman/Caretaker/Facilities, desirable but not essential
Working knowledge of moving & handling procedures
Basic level IT literacy desirable
