Job overview

We are looking for a positive, self-motivated and joyful person to join the team as our School Bursar to help provide administrative support to the Head Teacher, Deputy Head and the school committee.

Access School is a small therapeutic Special Needs Provision on a large area of rural land just outside of Wem.

Duties:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain Pupil files, Single Central register and any other contractual/legislative documents as directed by the Head Teacher
  • Management of Pupil premium income and expenditure. From confirming a pupils entitlement, agreeing a spending plan and reporting, monitoring and reconciliation of, in conjunction with the Senco and the Finance and Business Support manager
  • Support the recruitment process for Teachers, HLTA, Instructors and LSA’s – organising venues, interviews and attending interviews to support the Head Teacher/Deputy administratively
  • Be the first point of call for mobile phone, computer and Broad band issues.
  • Carry out the duties in the most effective, efficient and economic manner available
  • Maintain and reconcile the petty cash ensuring all receipts are available for audit purpose

You:

  • Must have experience of working in a school or similar environment
  • Must hold a Nationally Recognised Business/Administration qualification
  • Must hold a current full UK driving licence
  • Have the ability to relate to young people and adults

Working hours are Monday to Friday , 8am-4pm except on team meeting or committee meeting days where you will work 08.30-16:30.

5 weeks holiday entitlement per year, to be taken during the school holidays, plus statutory bank holidays.
