Days Lane School Primary School is a very popular and successful three form stand-alone academy.

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced School Business Manager due to the relocation of our current Business Manager. This exciting role includes a broad range of responsibilities that will require an extensive set of skills, relevant qualifications, enthusiasm and resilience. As School Business Manager you will be responsible for managing the academy finances, HR procedures, overseeing facilities management, health and safety and the administrative function of the Academy.

The successful candidate will be a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team, who will interact with a range of stakeholders (staff, governors, parents, pupils and other advisors). You will need to be highly organised, work well as part of a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• CSBM qualification, although this is not essential, candidates should have a willingness to undertake the qualification.

• Sound experience of school financial management and budgetary control  

• A good understanding and knowledge of human resources management and payroll 

• An good understanding of facilities management, including health and safety 

• An ability to identify, research and develop, cost and implement new initiatives 

• An ability to secure funding through researching and applying for resources
