School Business Manager
Woodside High School is an 11 – 16 mixed, oversubscribed school.
Our rapid and continuing improvement (in 100 Most Improved Schools list for 2011 and 2012), has seen an Ofsted (2011 & 2014) judgement of ‘Outstanding’, and continuously rising results in which our students told Ofsted ‘the school is an oasis where they feel valued and encouraged’.
We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced and highly motivated School Business Manager to support the smooth running of the school. With the support of key colleagues, you will be responsible for a range of operational support services including finance, human resources, catering, ICT and premises. With appropriate support, you will be expected to have a role in all aspects of the operation of the School including supervising students, for example at break/lunchtimes.
We are particularly looking for candidates who have a sound understanding of financial management and HR, in either a private, public or voluntary sector organisation. We welcome applicants with skills and experience transferable from non-education settings.
The role requires someone who is able to work effectively by leading on the response to day to day issues, and who can also prepare and deliver longer term strategies to support the growing school.
Key skills include an ability to work with stakeholders, manage priorities, ensure collaborative working across the support functions, and deliver timely outcomes on projects.
