St Mary’s Hare Park is a small and friendly prep school with a thriving community.
The role of Business Manager is deemed to be key to developing the operational side of the School and must be prepared to support and advance the overall aims and values of the School.
Conditions of employment;
Salary - £35k - £42k depending on experience.
47 weeks/annum – 37.5 hours per week (attendance at evening meetings may be required)
(Consideration could be given to reduced fees for the children of the Business Manager)

Specific Responsibilities
- Financial Reports for Trustee/SLT. Lead on Financial Policy
- Advise Trustees/SLT
- Plan Budget Spend of School
- Exercise Control of Costs and ensure Value for Money
- Organise Payment of Staff Salaries
- Keep thorough accounts of School spend in preparation for inspections/audits etc.
- Provide financial reports for Trustees/SLT.
Specific Duties
- Oversee School maintenance with involvement in any repairs to or buildings or property
- Handle School service contracts and oversee tenders for services e.g. cleaning, I.T. Support
- Uphold School security and H & S policies.

The school is situated in the London Borough of Havering on the border with Essex County and within easy access of London.
The school was founded and established as a Charitable Trust under the management of the Board of Trustees to provide education for Roman Catholic children, however, the school has a rich, multi-cultural tradition and we welcome families of other denominations/religions who are willing to support the ethos of the school. Admission is for girls and boys from 2½ years to 11 years, from our Nursery through to Year 6.
