Hours: Monday to Friday: 10.00am - 6.00pm, including a lunch break, but with some flexibility. Hours negotiable, and part-time working can be considered.


 Start: As soon as possible.

We are seeking to appoint a proactive, reliable and professional Caretaker to join our friendly and supportive school community.  From September 2022 the school will be in brand new purpose built premises.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, tidy, safe and secure environment. The work will involve assisting with all aspects of caretaking. You will need to be comfortable with lifting furniture and equipment to statutory limits. Having a recognised trade (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating) is desirable.


About the School

The St Marylebone CE Bridge School (SMBS) is a special secondary school for 11-16 year old students with speech, language and communication needs. We are a small school with 65 students. Our students have a diverse range of needs, including developmental language disorder, autism spectrum disorder, selective mutism, social communication difficulties, speech disorder, hearing impairment and dysfluency.


We aim to create an environment in which our students can achieve their maximum educational and social potential so that they are prepared for adulthood. Speech and Language Therapists play a core role in school life, supporting students and families directly as well as working closely with education staff to create a specialised learning environment.
