Job overview

Longfield Academy are seeking a new team member to join our school Catering Department.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to work within our school catering service.  

Duties will include basic food preparation and cooking, assisting with the set-up and clearing of the dining area, setting out and serving food, clearing away and washing up. To succeed in this role you will ideally have at least 6 months’ relevant catering experience and either hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Catering, Food Preparation or equivalent. 

Good verbal communication and customer care skills are also essential, as is the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
