We are looking to appoint a new School Chaplain to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school. The core purpose of this role is promoting and actively supporting all members of the school community in living out the school’s mission statement to

‘Glorify God through outstanding, enjoyable education’

• To assist the Leadership Team and RS department in preparing for Statutory Inspection of Anglican/Methodist Schools; and following up targets set.

• To lead and develop professional development on Christian ethos and Restorative Justice for staff and pupils

• Organising and leading appropriate opportunities for Anglican worship, reflection, celebration, prayer and thanksgiving focussed on the name of the God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

• Supporting the school to be a witness to the local community and building new networks and partnerships alongside current ones

Applicants do not have to be ordained or Anglican but they do need to be sympathetic to, supportive of and understand Anglican tradition. 

The position is permanent, full time (term time only) – flexibility is encouraged

Located in the beautiful residential area of Southfields, close to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, Saint Cecilia’s Church of England School is just 20 minutes from the West End of London and 20 minutes to tranquil Surrey countryside, with exceptional transport links.  Yet, still within the Inner London Weighting area which adds a significant increase to salary.
