Job overview

This unique post will provide spiritual and pastoral support for two of the country’s leading independent schools, St Paul’s School (boys) and St Paul’s Girls’ School, which both have historic links to St Paul’s Cathedral. Working across sites on either side of the Thames at Hammersmith and Barnes, the post holder will: 

• plan and lead spiritual assemblies and events 

• maintain School Chapels and Chaplaincies 

• develop appropriate opportunities for prayer and worship, reflection and spiritual growth. 

The option also exists for the Chaplain to teach curriculum subjects relevant to his/her skill set. 

Applicants will have a genuine personal faith, high emotional intelligence, and a passion to support others, regardless of their belief or non-belief. A good academic background is expected, along with effective counselling skills or a counselling qualification. Experience of pastoral leadership will be supplemented by strong communication skills and a commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.
