We are seeking to appoint a second counsellor to join our strong pastoral team, and to work alongside our existing School Counsellor. The post reports directly to the Director of Students and involves providing a high quality, individual counselling service to students and advice to teaching and pastoral staff about students in their care.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised counselling qualification, to at least Diploma level, have proven experience of supervised individual counselling with children of school age, and be a member of an appropriate professional body, or working towards.
The post is term-time only, working 22.5 hours per week, possibly to be worked over two full days and two half days per week, Monday to Thursday, during the school term time. The exact work pattern will be discussed and agreed at interview, but must include a half day on a Thursday to enable handover time with the existing counsellor.
