We wish to appoint a School Counsellor to provide a professional and confidential counselling service for young people within the school to contribute to the promotion of good health and wellbeing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our school to provide pupils with an opportunity to talk in confidence about a range of issues they may be experiencing. The School Counsellor would be expected to develop a range of therapeutic interventions to encourage confidence, independence, reflection and resilience in young people whilst supporting them with their concerns.

With a recognised qualification in counselling and a strong track record of providing excellent emotional support to young people, you will also be a confident and a skilled professional with excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.

This is a Grade 8 position which attracts a salary of £24,313– £26,999 per annum based on 2 or 3 days per week; term-time only plus one training day (actual salary payable will be: £20,572.07– £22,844.79 pro rata depending on hours worked).
