Qualified Academy Counsellor

2 days per week

NJC Point 34 £30,756 FTE 

We are seeking a School Counsellor to provide a regular and permanent Counselling service to the school. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports the physical, mental and emotional well being of students at OSSMA, the School Counsellor will provide a professional, flexible and confidential counselling service to pupils. A recognised qualification appropriate for the post, at least to diploma level is required and you will be registered with BCAP.

It is expected that the Counsellor will visit the Academy on defined hours each week. In addition they would provide a confidential drop-in service so pupils may refer themselves.

The successful applicant will have experience in working with young people and have the relevant counselling qualifications and be a member of a professional body.
