Job overview

The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) is an established Multi Academy Trust based in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, supporting primary and secondary schools in the South West of England.

We were awarded National Teaching School status in June 2016 and from this TPLT Teaching School Alliance was established.  A key focus of our Teaching School Alliance (TSA) is to ‘recruit, train and retain’ the very best teachers for our partnership of schools.

Our TSA team work hard to ensure that the training experience gained at TPLT is second to none. Excellent levels of support and guidance are coupled with fantastic ITT facilities and resources.

We are looking to grow our ITT provision to the next level across our partnership of schools through the further development of our School Direct offer.

We currently have the following School Direct places remaining for the 2018/19 academic year:

2 x Maths

1 x Modern Foreign Languages

3 x Computing/IT

4 x Design Technology

1 x Primary

It is an exciting time for the teaching profession, with opportunities to progress within key subjects greater than ever.

These posts give the successful candidates an opportunity to complete a one-year training position, based predominately in the classroom. At the end of which, they will receive a PGCE qualification from The University of St Mark and St John and QTS that will allow them to teach anywhere in the world.

If you have a degree and would like to know more about TPLT Initial Teacher Training Programme, please contact us on the following email address: TSA@theplt.org.uk

Interviews: TBC, following UCAS application process.
