Owl Tutors is recruiting teachers for face-to-face school entrance tutoring roles in Chiswick, London.  Ideal candidates have a primary teaching background, and experience with 7+/11+/ 13+ assessments, or a willingless to learn.

We spend our time scouring the world for the best qualified teachers for us to represent. We then work closely with our talented teachers to help find the work that they want at the times that suit them for the best rates of pay. 

Founded in 2011, Owl Tutors is a premium London-based tuition company that specialises in providing qualified teachers for expert one-to-one tuition. Run by a friendly team of mostly ex-teachers, we work closely with our tutors to grow their businesses.

Autonomy: Owl Tutors represent tutors as their agent. We are here to help to find the best work for the best rates and provide any support that we can. We do not instruct our teachers on how to perform their tutoring, leaving our tutors time and space to plan the best lessons possible.

Net pay rates: Our tutors choose the rate they wish to charge for each engagement. Net hourly pay rates range from £31 to £104 per hour. On average, our tutors take home around £50 per hour.

Flexible Hours: Tutor whenever it's convenient for you. A large number of our current tutors have chosen to become professional tutors after having returned from parental leave from the classroom.

More time teaching, less admin: Our tutors tend to find the administrative burden of being a tutor significantly lighter than classroom teaching.

Ongoing Support: Our experienced team is always on hand to provide guidance to tutors to help them land more jobs, improve their practice, increase efficiency and also to manage any difficult circumstances. We provide ongoing support during the life cycle of an engagement. 

Minimum Requirements:

Fully qualified teacher (we accept applications from teachers without QTS if they've taught in the independent sector for min. 5 years and possess a teaching qualification)

At least 2 hours a week of availability
