School Finance Manager

NYCC Grade J £30,451 - £32,910 per annum (subject to job evaluation)

King James’s School is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Team within the heart of our vibrant, community focused, modern school. 

You will be an integral part of the finance team, leading the day to day finance processes and collaborating closely with the Director of Business Services and our Federated partner school to ensure compliance and value for money.  

Leading an experienced team within the Business Services Department, you will support the operation including school budget setting; reporting and monitoring; grant/funding compliance; departmental budget oversight; costing activities; quality assurance and generating accurate returns to the local authority to ensure the effective financial management and operations of the school.

The successful candidate must have an accounting qualification or extensive Management Accounting experience along with experience gained working in a school or similar charity setting, supported by strong financial business acumen.  You will also require good Microsoft Excel skills.
