Job overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated individual to play a crucial part in the management of the finance function at school and Trust level. The Finance Manager will provide a high standard of administrative, financial and accounting services and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring that these functions are undertaken efficiently and effectively and in compliance with the Academies Financial handbook. You will also oversee the work of the Finance Assistant.
We are looking for someone who is well qualified and possesses excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, who can remain calm under pressure. This role would be an excellent introduction for someone seeking to build a career in school business management.
The successful applicant will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme.

About The Elmgreen School
The Elmgreen School is a unique 11-18 secondary school. It is a non denominational mixed school which opened to its first cohort of year 7 students in September 2007. The secondary Hearing Impaired Unit is co-located within the school. We will reach our full complement of 1100 students in 2014 which will include a 200 place sixth form. The school moved to its inspirational new building in September 2009.
