We are seeking a Finance Secretary to assist the School Leadership Team with a wide variety of administrative and financial tasks to support the financial operations of the school.

Under the direction of the Principal, you will undertake financial administration activities and provide support to ensure the school delivers on key reporting deadlines.

Duties include: reconciliation of accounts, preparation of month end and year end entries, periodic BAS returns, supporting the Principal with school fees and financial administration, cashier and banking duties, data entry, report preparation and other office duties assigned as appropriate.

Ideally, you will have previous experience in an accounts or finance role. You will demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and possess demonstrated interpersonal skills to liaise with the school’s clients with empathy.

Additionally, you will be highly organised and be able to demonstrate sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion.

Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and the BCE finance system, AX Dynamics, is desirable.

AQF qualifications in financial administration and/or relevant experience in a similar role or a role requiring a similar skill set are desirable.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   30-38 hrs / week - to be negotiated

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   School Officer- Level 5 - commencing at $33.53 per hour plus Super (dependant upon qualifications and experience)

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
