Hours:              20 hours per week – Monday to Friday (term time)

We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Belmont School in Rossendale. Someone who has a passion for catering would be perfect for this role.

Belmont is an independent specialist day school for boys 11 to 16, catering for children with a wide range of needs. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

About the Role:


The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join this thriving specialist SEMH School. Responsible to the Chef, the Kitchen Assistant will assist with the preparation, serving and cleaning of the kitchen, to ensure that the kitchen is providing the quality food safely and on time. You will be a passionate, enthusiastic and flexible individual, who shares our values and is looking to develop their career in this specialist area.


Who we are looking for?


We are looking for someone who is passionate about catering. Ideally, experience within a catering environment would be an advantage but we will consider candidates without previous catering experience.


Whilst experience within an SEMH/SEN specialist provision would be desirable, we will consider applications from those who are currently working in a different setting.


Training and development will be provided for the successful candidate in line with the identified needs of the school, the skills of the individual and their prospective career progression.

Experience of working in a catering environment or kitchen
