Job Purpose:

To provide all visitors to The OX4 Community and Sports facilities’ with a friendly and positive experience, through delivering effective customer service and maintaining safe and efficient To provide the highest standards of customer service and safety at all times in accordance with the policies, procedures and systems within a supervisory role.

To support the OX4 Manager in the effective operation of the facilities on a day-to-day basis.

Ensuring staff are motivated and well supervised to deliver the required standards.

 Responsibilities:

To provide feedback to the OX4 Manager for duty assistant performance reviews and formal appraisals.

Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the OX4 Manager.

Occasionally, training or meetings are organised outside normal working hours. The post holder will be expected to attend whenever reasonably practicable.

To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which he / she works.

To undertake any other duties at the request of the OX4 Manager or School Business Manager which are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover.

To ensure that all staff under his/her direction are briefed regularly on matters relating to the Centre as a whole, operations generally and facility issues as necessary.

Main duties:

In the absence of the OX4 Manager/Assistant Manager, liaise and communicate messages from the School Business Manager to all OX4 staff.

To assist with booking and class enquiries.

To ensure that all equipment within the facility is maintained to safe and usable standards to ensure provision of programmes at all times.

To be responsible for the general safety and behaviour of all the users; preventing injury, misuse and damage to facilities or equipment.

To ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, clean and tidy condition at all times, carrying out remedial action when necessary.

As a Key Holder, you are responsible for maintaining security levels at all times ensuring that the building and the equipment is secure and upon exiting the building at the end of the day, all alarms are set correctly.

To be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for both customers and staff.

Identifying areas of concern, reporting these as appropriate to the OX4 Manager and School Business Manager and taking the necessary remedial action.

To conduct oneself according to induction specifics and always maintain a professional service with reference to corporate strategy

To provide the highest standards of customer care and service by ensuring all employees adhere to the standards laid out in the Operating Documents manual.

As a Supervisor, you are responsible, in the first instance, for the welfare of your staff whilst at work on shift. 

Housekeeping:

Ensure the preparation and operation of events and activities including the assembly and dismantling of equipment in a timely and safe manner.

Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the OX4 standards.

Patrol all areas of the center to ensure all facilities are being used in the correct manner.

Maintain storage areas in a clean and tidy condition and in accordance with store plans.

General:

Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and agree with the line manager

Liaise with the OX4 Manager to focus on ways to improve the Centre. 

Undertake any reasonable request as specified by the OX4 Manager or School Business Manager for which you are trained or are within your pay grade.
