Job overview

We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate Schools Liaison and Events Officer to join our Marketing and Schools department at our Sandwell College campus; a department that offers a supportive working environment with colleagues who are committed to developing the full potential of our students.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work within the team to promote the Colleges at events in schools and colleges across the region, based from our Sandwell campus. This will involve delivering presentations to groups of school/college students and their parents/carers on a variety of relevant education topics and exhibiting at careers fairs to provide individual advice and guidance about the college’s courses, services and opportunities.

This role will involve raising the profile and engagement with external stakeholders. You will build strong relationships by working closely with schools and organisations that represent young people to deliver the College’s strategic objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To be successful, you will hold an English and Maths GCSE or equivalent. You’ll be dynamic and innovative and want to empower learners to achieve around their courses and develop as rounded young people. 

You will preferably have experience in school partnerships, event management and have a strong marketing background. An engaging team player with a creative mindset, you’ll have excellent stakeholder management experience and the ability to manage a variety of projects
