Values and vision

Christ’s College Finchley aims to make pupils feel good about themselves. As a result, the children are happy and there has been good retention of school staff over the decades. Pupils are expected to behave well, so bullying and aggression are rare.

Since 1906, the secondary school’s motto has been “Usque Proficiens”, meaning “advance all the way”. The school is proud that visitors consistently comment on the friendly and happy atmosphere, and that prospective teachers often remark that they feel "at home" within minutes of their arrival.

Ofsted report
