Job overview

We invite applications from part-time or full-time qualified nurses to join our small, hardworking and friendly medical centre team working across the whole school.

We are a Methodist co-educational boarding and day school where the Medical Centre plays an important part in supporting the health and wellbeing of pupils and staff, and provides 24/7 care during term time. In both areas, the medical centre team strives to develop and maintain positive and mutually supportive relationships with the wider school community, particularly those at the core of our exceptional pastoral care.

Members of the nursing team work on a rota basis which includes some evenings, weekends, and sleep in on call, therefore a flexible approach to this is essential. Candidates are invited to specify on their applications their preferred number of hours, which will then be discussed at interview.

It is essential that the successful applicant holds a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Pin number.

Benefits include a competitive salary; free meals; working in a beautiful school and grounds close to the city of Bath; use of school facilities including the swimming pool at designated times; school holidays and comfortable accommodation while on duty.

Further details and an application pack are available from the Employment Opportunities section of our website: www.kingswood.bath.sch.uk or from the HR Department, email recruitment@kingswood.bath.sch.uk or telephone 01225 734350.

Closing date for applications is Monday 17th August 2020, midday.

Kingswood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

About Kingswood Senior School

At Kingswood we hope each young person will find a love of learning and a sense of joy in their own achievement and in that of others, combined with a reasoning judgement, the courage to question assumptions, and a willingness to lead and to serve.

Education that embraces these values enriches and gives deeper meaning to life. It makes the attainment of personal goals and achievements more certain, career advancement more likely, and happiness more secure.

As the Principal of the Kingswood Foundation (and the Headmaster of its senior school) I believe the senior school and the prep school form together a very special place in which young people have the opportunity to realize their potential in a very caring and friendly community. The schools are set within a uniquely beautiful estate on the northern edge of a world heritage city and this provides a wonderful environment in which to grow up and learn.

I hope you will come and visit us and see for yourself how we seek to develop each individual's character and talents by encouraging boys and girls to reach their fullest and best in every way.
