Royal Russell School educates over 1000 girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18 and is situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon, only 30 minutes from Central London.  We have over 150 boarding students in the Senior School, and are proud of our day and boarding facilities that rank amongst the best in the South of England.  Our pupils, parents and staff experience a warm and friendly environment with strong pastoral care for every pupil alongside a comprehensive co-curricular and enrichment programme. We are seeking to appoint a full-time qualified RGN/RSCN/HCPC Paramedic to join a team of 3 motivated and enthusiastic Nurses providing high quality primary and emergency healthcare, first aid, wellbeing support to boarding and day students and staff in our recently refurbished Medical Centre. The Centre comprises of 2 surgeries, a Counsellor consulting room, GP surgeries and in-patient facilities for boarding students. The rota does include night shifts for which an on-call nurses flat is provided from which staff provide waking cover when there are in-patients. Term time is a maximum of 36 weeks so you will benefit from long holidays and an average three days off a week.  

You will join a team of qualified and supportive Nurses who all play an active role in the development, provision and promotion of health and wellbeing for the School community and provide an essential and important part of the welfare and pastoral support within the School. You will work with the Deputy Head; Pastoral, boarding and day house staff, parents, students and external health care agencies in order to provide medical care and support that is second to none. We welcome candidates from a broad healthcare background with the appropriate experience and qualifications and a genuine interest in working with young people. You should have excellent clinical skills and high professional standards together with a lively, friendly personality, strong empathy with young people, excellent communication skills and be happy to work independently.
