School Nurse - Immediate Hire

We are looking for an experienced and qualified School Nurse to join our team. The role requires a happy, welcoming and caring disposition, excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The Nurse will be a supportive, cooperative team member who shows initiative and a willingness to improve processes.

Due to visa limitations, we are only able to consider candidates available in the State of Qatar. 

Key Responsibilities  

• The Nurse will oversee School Clinic by promoting health and safety, including actual and potential health problem intervention; case management services; records and database maintenance. 
• To have an in-depth knowledge of nursing best practices with a high degree of professionalism to support the whole School 
• To act as first responder in medical emergencies 
• To provide quality health care support to the School and will be part of the pastoral care team for students. 
• Performs and/or oversees mandated screenings and completes referrals and follow-up where applicable. 
• Supporting and assisting in the daily operation of the clinics, and the general maintenance of the health and welfare of staff and students 
•  Assessing and treating students’ medical complaints and record keeping 
•  Initiation, implementation and maintenance of procedures/protocols following Professional Guidelines 
•  Updating students’ medical files, admissions and withdrawals throughout the year 
• Point of contact for all COVID19 related processes, communication and record keeping

Expected Qualifications:  

• This is an immediate hire within Qatar- only candidates who can join within 1 week time, will be considered
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized University 
• Valid Nursing License(General Nurse)  from the Ministry of Public Health at State of Qatar 
• Updated First Aid Training, CPR and AED certifications  
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.   
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. 
• Up to date knowledge and compliance to Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Local Municipalities and or other relevant Ministry Directives/Laws
