
School Nurse Manager
We require an experienced School Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the Medical Centre to ensure the highest levels of care for pupils, with responsibility for the strategic development of the Medical Centre, following best practice guidelines from the Royal College of Nursing, Independent Schools Association and other regulatory bodies as necessary. The Nurse Manager will line manage the School Nurse/s and oversee all aspects of the work of the Medical Centre.
The post-holder will have responsibility for the ongoing development of the medical team to deliver a clinically effective, high quality service of nursing, or first aid care to pupils and the school community, as well as being accountable for all clinical and School related compliance requirements, the maintenance of medical records, policies and procedures.
The Medical Centre is integral to the school community and the Nurse Manager is expected to pro-actively manage effective health promotion within the school community by communicating with pupils, parents and staff, and developing the listening service and age appropriate clinics and drop-ins and contributing to the teaching of some PSHE across the school.
Essential qualities include tenacity, forward thinking, problem-solving, the ability to build positive working relationships and strong IT skills.
