School Nurse required for 28 August 2018 start

Ibstock Place School is seeking to appoint a School Nurse to provide a nursing service in the main to the Senior School (650 pupils aged 11-18) and in emergency to the Prep School (280 pupils aged 4-11).  The post is remunerated on a full time basis for the appropriate candidate.  Attendance is term time only, with 12 contractual days to be worked in the School pupil holidays.  The School Nurse will liaise with pupils, the Senior Tutor (Head of the Pastoral Team), parents and outside health care agencies.  The School Nurse has their own private room and medical/treatment room.  Breakfast and lunch are provided by the School. 

Key Responsibilities: To provide a School nursing service and first aid provision to ensure optimal health and wellbeing, allowing pupils to participate fully and actively in School life.  To provide primary and emergency healthcare services to pupils and staff onsite.  

Experience/Certification:  

• Two years’ clinical experience (preferred) 

• Experience of reporting safeguarding/welfare concerns for children (preferred) 

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Paramedic (HCPC)

Ibstock Place School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 4 to 18. The school occupies a ten-acre site on the edge of Richmond Park in South West London.
