Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent administration skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude? If so, we are looking for an additional colleague to support our Office Manager and play an effective and professional role within the Reception and Office team. 

As well as providing efficient and accurate general administrative support, the ability to work flexibly and motivate others within a small team in a busy school is key. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software is essential, Excel and Word in particular. As well as experience within a busy office and general administration skills, the ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, and be able to multi task and support colleagues and other stakeholders effectively.

Experience working in a school or similar office environment would be advantageous, as would experience of database systems and/or marketing ‘but this is not a barrier for the right person as training and support is available.

We are a large primary school, located on the borders of South West London, with 620 pupils from Reception to Year 6. The school is part of the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership which includes Hinchley Wood School located on the same site.

We anticipate the working hours will be between 8.30 am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday during term time (the working pattern can be discussed and agreed with successful candidate), plus two additional weeks to be worked outside of the school term (timing to be agreed). We will also consider applications for a full year role. The current full time equivalent salary for this role is £24,243 - £27,819 (Pay award pending for September 2023).

Hinchley Wood Primary is a 3-form entry school (i.e. 3 classes per year group) located on Claygate Lane. We are a school rooted firmly in our local community. We are situated on a large site adjacent to Hinchley Wood Secondary School, where most of our pupils transition after their primary experience. We are proud to be part of the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership (HWLP) who we work with closely to ensure high quality provision for our pupils.

Our primary school consists of multiple one storey buildings situated on a large green site. Our extensive site means that children benefit from a number of areas to play and learn. We have a large sports field, artificial grassed areas for sports and various playgrounds, separating the infants and the juniors.
