Carmel College is seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated school officer working within the college's Finance Department. The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge in accounts payable and Workplace Health & Safety experience would be an advantage. This position requires an ability to form excellent professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and have high level interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires high level experience in data entry skills in a range of computer packages. Refer to Role Description. This is a full-time (38 hours per week) fixed term position with an ability for the contract to be renewed. Applications close 6:00am on Monday 16 September 2019.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.

Carmel College is a mixed, non-selective, independent, Catholic secondary school in Queensland, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school is situated in Thornlands and has approximately 1120 pupils on record. 

Carmel College was opened in 1993. The school places important emphasis on building and maintain strong partnerships between home and school and teachers are encouraged to have regular communication with parents. Curriculum

Carmel College offers a broad and balanced learning curriculum designed to equip pupils with the skills and knowledge required for them to go on to lead successful future lives. Additional support is available for students who need it from the Learning Enrichment department, who work closely with the classroom teacher and students to provide extra assistance. Sports clubs, music, dance and drama classes are some of the wide range of additional activities available for pupils to get involved in outside of the classroom to boost their confidence and further enhance their skills and interests.
