Description 

To provide support in learning and behaviour management at San Clemente High School, Mayfield for 24 hours per week. 

Position Requirements 

The applicant must be:

  • willing to support the ethos of the Catholic School;
  • highly developed computer skills and an ability to use technology for education support;
  • able to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a team;
  • must have a cooperative nature and kind manner and be capable of supporting; children with high support needs in their learning;
  • must have experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and be able to follow plans and procedures put in place for these students.

Essential Criteria

San Clemente High School is located in Mayfield- an inner city suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. The school is co-educational and caters for students from Year 7-10. 720 students attend the school and are taught by 59 teaching staff. 

San Clemente High School is of the Catholic faith and is highly regarded within the local community. The school was established in 1916 and enrols students primarily from the parishes of Waratah, Mayfield, Tighes Hill, Stockton, Nelson Bay, Bulahdelah, Raymond Terrace and Shortland.
