About St Therese's Catholic Primary School

St Therese's Catholic Primary School is an independent, co-educational learning institution situated in the Newcastle suburb of New Lambton, approximately 6 kilometres west of the city's CBD. The Catholic school caters to children from Kindergarten to Year 6 and has a current enrolment of around 600 students and over 35 teaching staff.

The school was established in 1925 by the Sisters of Mercy, and operated from one simple building that had a dual purpose of learning facility and parish church. St Therese's has two school mottos, 'Mercy' and 'Be True'.
