We are currently looking for a Receptionist to join our team in Teignmouth.

About Trinity School:

Trinity School is situated in 14 acres overlooking the town of Teignmouth and Lyme Bay. The site has accommodated centres of Christian-based education since 1879. Trinity School was formed in 1979 and is a joint Roman Catholic and Anglican foundation. The school became part of the Alpha Schools group in November 2019. The present school numbers almost 240 pupils, with an even split between the Preparatory Department (ages 3 to 11 years) and the Senior Department (ages 11 to 19 years), of whom about 55 are boarders. The Head, Mr Lawrence Coen, is a member of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) and the Society of Heads.

Contract: Monday to Friday, Full Time, Permanent, Term Time

Salary: £ 17,200 per annum.

About the Position

To support the work of other departments within the School, particularly Admissions, Maintenance and Management Duties and responsibilities will be included, but not limited to the following:

  • Greeting visitors, directing visitors for other departments, answering incoming telephone calls and keeping a register of visitors on the School premises.
  • Demonstrating good communications skills by dealing with enquiries, whether by e-mail, post, telephone or in person, politely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Effective onward distribution of all enquiries for other departments and/or staff. Monitoring response if applicable.
  • Ensuring that the White House Visitors’ Lounge is kept tidy and serviced throughout the day.
  • General office duties e.g. typing, completing internal forms, faxing, e-mailing, filing and database entry.
  • Secretarial assistance to the Headmaster and Head of Prep when required.
  • Updating Admissions Register, form and class lists and staff lists.
  • Sending prospectuses to prospective parents and arrange prospective pupil/parent visits and set up parents and charges (for trips, clubs etc.) on School Money billing software as required.
  • Monitor payments and reconcile with bank statements, arrange servicing of fire extinguishers and smoke detectors and arrange portable appliance testing.
  • Ordering of all supplies and resources, including reconciliation to purchase invoice

 

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude. Confident, hardworking, and conscientious, and always promote good practice
  • Excellent communication and administrative and IT ( Office 365) skills
  • A team player with pleasant and friendly manner with experience in Admin work.

Trinity School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school for children aged 3-19 years old. It is situated in Teignmouth, Devon, and has approximately 490 day and boarding pupils. Bursaries and scholarships are available.
