Thorngrove School was founded in 1988 by Nick and Connie Broughton. They wanted to create an establishment that provided for all children, whatever their abilities. Vision and values

Thorngrove School aims to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, developing pupils' academic education as well as their interest in extra-curricular pursuits. Teachers strive to provide a nurturing environment for every child and to promote teamwork and friendship between year groups. The pre-preparatory school maximises the use of all school facilities, including the woods and fields.

While Thorngrove School excels at teaching core subjects, it also provides outstanding extra-curricular activities. Pupils have access to specialist art and pottery sessions, music lessons and drama classes led by a fully qualified LAMDA teacher. Plenty of sports are on offer.
