Job overview

The school shop is a very important part of everyday life for both students and parents. We sell a wide range of goods, as well as school uniform and offer a bespoke fitting service to all new students.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, positive, and productive with excellent communication skills. Retail/hospitality experience is desired, but not essential. An understanding of the school structure is desired, but not essential. 

This role is FTC (one year), part-time (12 hours per week), term-time only plus two weeks in August/September to support during at the start of the new academic year.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the day-today running of the school shop

• Duty Manage the shop on Saturdays

• Operating the till and accurately handle cash and credit cards

• End of day banking

• Process and sort second-hand donations

• New school uniform fittings

• Unpack and price deliveries

• Keep the shop restocked and clean and tidy

• Assist with stock taking and auditing

• Detailed handovers for Retail Manager
