Job overview
We are looking to appoint a permanent School Staff Instructor (SSI) with the blended duties of an Outdoor Education Instructor (which includes DofE Coordinator) on a full or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their role at Gateways School. The chosen candidate will therefore need to demonstrate a proactive, reliable approach to developing new initiatives, and the ability to work closely and flexibly with people. They will need to have the vision and leadership skills, drive and organisational abilities to fulfil this commitment.
Candidates looking to fulfil the requirements of either the School Staff Instructor or the Outdoor Education Instructor will be considered. Please ensure your preference is stated in your cover letter/email.

Type of position: Full-time (40 hours) or part-time during term time, plus a number of weekends and days during the school holidays, equating to approximately 8 weeks out of term time. Permanent.
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on qualifications, skills and experience, plus the allocated MOD allowance. (Part time paid pro rata)
Start date: September 2023. A handover will also be required prior to start.
