Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Staff Instructor (SSI) to join Forest School and work closely with the Contingent Commander and Officers i/c Army and RAF sections to administer the CCF contingent.

The School Staff Instructor will be responsible for delivering training and supporting CCF staff and cadet NC0s to achieve high standards of training and enrich the cadet experience at Forest. The SSI will maintain the armoury, indoor air rifle range, stores, and databases such as the Westminster and Bader systems in accordance with MoD and school policies.

This is a full time position offering the opportunity for the SSI to get involved with other areas of the School community (matching his/her qualifications and experience), alongside their CCF responsibilities, therefore, a willingness to make a full contribution to life in this busy school is essential. In return, we offer extensive CPD opportunities and a highly supportive working environment.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be from a military background in a senior NCO position in regular, reserve or cadet forces.  Experience of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or similar youth work is desirable. They will be a proactive team player and have the desire to support the development of pupils at Forest School.
