Cuddington Croft is a two-form entry primary school catering for 3 to 11 year olds, with just under 500 children on role. We are very well resourced school, having the benefit of an indoor swimming pool, a playing field and numerous IT and curriculum based resources.
We are now looking to appoint an experienced swimming instructor to teach swimming lessons at our indoor pool for three afternoons a week. The lessons will run from 3:30pm - 5:30pm.
Although the actual number of weeks teaching will vary (due to variations in terms), the successful candidate will be expected to teach between 10-12 weeks per term, term time only (39 weeks a year).
The successful candidate must be a fully qualified swimming instructor, have a lifeguard qualification, and have experience teaching children of a primary age, with a range of ability levels. Flexibility is required (to attend swimming competitions outside of usual hours) and we would ideally like the successful candidate to have the flexibility to cover lessons during other days/ times for staff absence.
