Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a new member of our School Technician Team. School Technicians work across the curriculum as well as providing specialist subject support, in this instance, for Food Technology. Whilst mainly working to support the practical aspects of Food Technology you will also assist in other practical aspects of the school including display. 

The Elmgreen School, the first parent promoted school in England, is an 11-18 Humanities School serving a diverse and vibrant community. The school is fully comprehensive and offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to help all students succeed.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.

About The Elmgreen School

The Elmgreen School is a unique 11-18 secondary school. It is a non denominational mixed school which opened to its first cohort of year 7 students in September 2007.   The secondary Hearing Impaired Unit is co-located within the school. We will reach our full complement of 1100 students in 2014 which will include a 200 place sixth form. The school moved to its inspirational new building in September 2009.

The school is non selective and provides a creative and innovative curriculum, encouraging the highest standards of teaching and learning within an ethos of mutual respect, harmony and achievement.
