The International Education Agency is the oldest and largest private education provider in Papua New Guinea. It is a non-profit company responsible for the management of twenty school campuses and a large vocational college throughout the country. Each school is overseen by a Board of Governors elected by the parents. Schools are managed by Principals who are each responsible to the Director of Education. The IEA curriculum has been developed in line with current international curriculum trends. It can be found at www.ieanet.net.

In addition to managing schools, the IEA provides comprehensive professional support to Principals and teachers in the areas of pedagogy and curriculum through its Centre for Professional Development.

IEA schools in Papua New Guinea educate over 6000 overseas and citizen pupils and employ around 300 teachers, the majority of whom are Papua New Guineans.
