School Business Manager (Bursar)

Hollygirt School is seeking an exceptional School Business Manager to join our senior leadership team and help shape the next chapter of our ambitious and distinctive school.

As the school enters an exciting new phase of development, with a renewed focus on Years 6-11 provision and a clear strategy for sustainable growth, we are seeking a talented and forward-thinking School Business Manager to play a pivotal role in our future success. 

Working closely with the Head, Trustees, and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide leadership across finance, operations, compliance, estates, health and safety, and commercial development. As a member of a small and highly collaborative leadership team, the School Business Manager will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction of the school whilst remaining closely connected to the practical realities of day-to-day operations. 

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment and takes satisfaction from seeing plans translated into action. One day may involve contributing to long-term financial planning, supporting pupil recruitment or presenting to Trustees; the next may involve reviewing operational processes, managing a project or working alongside colleagues to resolve immediate challenges. Success in the role will require both strategic insight and a willingness to engage directly with the operational detail that underpins excellent school provision. 

The School Business Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that Hollygirt remains both educationally ambitious and commercially sustainable, enabling staff to focus on delivering an outstanding experience for every pupil.
