Job overview
To provide quality teaching and learning according to the school’s teaching and learning policy, in Science and Mathematics Teacher. The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity and the desire to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with the Panyaden curricula.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skills:
- Exemplify and promote values and behaviors in line with Panyaden’s vision and principles
- To help each student achieve the highest academic standards and reach their potential at their individual ability level. To instill confidence in students about their ability and pride in their achievements.
- To maintain a positive and inspiring working environment for effective learning, including resources and the students’ work.
- To assess and monitor systematically the progress of each student within your classes.
- To provide reports of attainment on individual students to the Headteacher, Deputy Head: Academic, leadership team and parents as necessary
- Teach Science and Mathematics to pupils aged 10 to 14
- Teaching up to GCSE level would be advantageous in either Science or Mathematics
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning of all students.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Conduct conferences with students, parents, and colleagues to provide information on student progress and student needs.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum.
- Participate actively in the work of the grade level and across grade levels to coordinate curricular and extracurricular offerings.
- Participate in appropriate professional activities.
- Prepare complete lessons plans for substitute teachers.
- Perform additional daily duties that may or may not directly relate to the subject area.
