About the role:

At Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy, we pride ourselves on our excellent relationships between pupils and teachers and our strong ethos of sharing successes and celebrating achievement. We wish to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner of Science who will inspire and enthuse a team of Science teachers across the academy to achieve outstanding results. We require an ambitious, determined and committed individual to ensure our pupils achieve at the very highest levels. The successful applicant will drive standards in teaching and learning, attainment and progression, and work with the Science Advisor on priorities in these areas.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring quality first curriculum provision that will ensure rapid progression, challenge and enjoyment for all pupils. The Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy joined our Trust in 2014. The campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub. Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is delighted be part of the Leigh Academies Trust who, with the Stationers’ Company and Ravensbourne, will enable the new Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy to enhance our provision and develop a Digital Curriculum fit for the future.

To be successful you need to have a proven track record of creating and implementing successful strategies for raising achievement and sharing good practice. You'll be able to evidence leadership skills and the ability to be successful in part of a team. You'll also have the desire and capacity for further promotion within our Trust.
