“King’s Leadership Academy – Winner of the 2015 DfE National Character Awards”

“Achievement beyond academic measures”, Ofsted 2014. King’s is an 11-18 academy founded on traditional values and international research, as a result, the academy is very popular and oversubscribed. At King’s we believe every child can succeed and that great teaching is the key to that success. This is evident in our motto, ‘Credimus’ which is Latin for ‘we believe’. It was the judgment of Ofsted in 2014 that King’s was good with outstanding leadership and behaviour. The Governors now wish to appoint a highly motivated NQT or experienced practitioner who will join us on our path towards outstanding in every category. This post is advertised as teacher of science, with the successful applicant afforded the opportunity to specialise in their chosen area of biology, chemistry or physics.

King’s is located in Warrington with easy access to both the M6 and M62. To support our expansion, the academy will move to a state of the art new build in June this year. Class sizes at the academy will never exceed 24 pupils and every student has access to a personal computer tablet. Innovation is one of our strengths, which supports our modern approach to education and culture of high expectations.

We are unique in our specialism in that we seek to develop leadership skills in our students alongside great academic performance. As a result of our character education programme, Ofsted were pleased to report that our children exhibited maturity beyond their years and that their behaviour was exemplary.
