Science Secondary Teacher with Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Science Teacher who will carry some extra responsibilities within and out of the classroom.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subject and the delivery of an effective curriculum to pupils of all ages and abilities. We expect that, through leading your effective teaching and learning, all pupils will be inspired to achieve the outstanding progress that we know they are capable of.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about Science and about helping all pupils succeed, despite their background
• Has high professional standards
• Is committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality
• Is able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike
• Is able to plan and deliver innovative and inspirational lessons that engage pupils

About us

Opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build, we are based on Reeves Way in Peterborough and have quickly gone from strength to strength.

A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential. Additionally, we have been described as a truly ‘inclusive school’ at our recent National Inclusion Quality Mark inspection and have also been awarded 'Centre of Excellence Status'. We were also runners up at the 2020 National SEN awards for National Most Inclusive Practice.
