Hours: 32.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 39 weeks a year

Passionate about teaching? 

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational teacher with proven track records in achieving high standards of quality.  The successful applicant will need to be experienced with Science and/or STEM subjects as they will be the lead for the Science and STEM provision in the school.  The Science/STEM Teacher will also support their own small tutor group.

You will need to demonstrate excellent skills in planning and teaching across the curriculum and have the ability to support students’ academic learning in line with any Educational and Healthcare Plans they may have.  There is a requirement to support the wider behavioural and emotional needs of the students as well as a strong focus on safeguarding.  We expect all candidates to factor this into everything they do.

Quay View School, based just outside Bere Alston, is an independent SEN School that specialises in children with SEMH aged 7 to 18 and currently has 22 pupils. We are also linked to Tor View School in Tavistock which can take up to 25 pupils and specialises in teaching children with severe learning difficulties and Autism.

This role is fixed term for 1 year view a view to going permanent.
