Bede's requires an experienced and child-focused individual to join our Prep School as our Science Subject Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for the individual to provide structured leadership for our Science teachers, to demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge, to plan, prepare and teach lessons across the age and ability range and above all else to safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people at Bede’s.

Reporting to the Head of Faculty (STEM) the post holder will work together to ensure that an appropriate, challenging and effective curriculum is provided for all pupils.

The School seeks to find the ideal person to lead the teaching of Science in a way that supports it in:

  • Cultivating a vibrant learning environment, motivating pupils to pursue their individual best
  • Providing a festival of opportunities, enabling pupils to discover new passions and develop new talents
  • Building a kind-hearted community, inspiring pupils to enhance the lives of others. 

Please note that as part of this role, the individual will be required to be a form tutor, overseeing the pastoral care of the children. 

This is a Permanent, Term-Time only role. The working hours are 8:00 - 18:00, Monday - Friday.

Salary dependent on experience with a proposed start date of 27 August 2023.
