Values and vision

The school’s aim is to provide a welcoming, caring environment within which all members of the school can achieve personal excellence and make a positive contribution to the school and to the wider community. Key to this is the provision of a secure base and structure for pupils to learn, and in which to to educate each pupil to the highest standard possible. Marston Vale aims for its pupils to develop in pupils a broad range of skills (including independent learning, critical thinking, and creativity and social skills).

One of the most important aspects of school is developing talents and interests outside of normal lessons. Pupils have opportunities to be involved in activities which promote independence, teamwork, responsibility and leadership. There is also an environmental area where students have the opportunity to grow and sell produce.

Ofsted

“Pupils understand the different kinds of bullying. They have confidence in the academy’s systems to tackle incidents where, and if, they arise. Very few pupils reported any bullying and many commented on how well pupils get along together. Pupils are provided with opportunities to participate in healthy extra-curricular activities and uptake levels are good.”
