Science Teacher

Teacher of Science.  Part Time (0.6FTE-0.7FTE) Maternity Cover  

Required for January 2019 until the return of the substantive post-holder (likely to be October 2019)

The Governors wish to appoint an excellent Science teacher, to contribute to our successful Science department. The role may appeal to a teacher seeking their first teaching post or, equally, to recently qualified or more experienced teachers.  St Benet Biscop is a great place to work and provides excellent job satisfaction, as it is a very supportive environment. We are part of Pax Christi Catholic Partnership, a Multi Academy Trust comprising of St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy, Bedlington and Ss Peter & Paul’s Catholic Primary Academy, Cramlington. We offer high quality education in a Catholic Christian environment.  We have 960 students in the main school and our Sixth Form currently has over 110 students, which we are expecting to grow and expand over the next couple of years.

We work in close partnership with St Mary’s Catholic School, an outstanding school in Newcastle.
