The Role

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Science teacher to join our STEM faculty.  The successful candidate will be someone with a commitment to King Solomon International Business School (King Solomon) ethos and value, a willingness to work and the flexibility to support the achievement of all students.  It is essential that the candidate demonstrates that they have the students’ wellbeing at the forefront of all that they do. 

The candidate will be expected to promote and practise safeguarding in relation to the welfare of the children they come into contact with and therefore an extensive knowledge and understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures and legislation is essential.

We are looking for someone:

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Head of Secondary. 

To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach ‘Good’ or better lessons consistently, assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and ensure pupils make good progress. 

To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of classes and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities. 

To overall make the education of the pupils their first concern,  

To be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. 

To act with honesty and integrity 

To have strong subject knowledge, keeping your knowledge and skills as a teacher up-to-date and be self-critical 

To forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of pupils.

To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and ethos as a Christian school. 

Our School

King Solomon is a popular free school which opened in 2015 in the heart of Birmingham City. King Solomon is a non-denominational Christian school which, when fully established, will provide education, with a business emphasis, for pupils aged from 4 – 18 years old. The school currently has Reception, Year 1, Year 7 and Year 8 cohorts and will be enrolling new cohorts of Reception and Year 7 pupils in the 2017 September entry.  

King Solomon is affiliate to The Woodard Corporation which contains some of the highest achieving schools in both the public and private sectors.
