About Henlow Church of England Academy

Henlow Academy is a unique school. A school set in stunning parkland, once part of Henlow Grange; a progressive school who chose to convert to an Academy in April 2012. A school that is brimming with a wonderful group of hardworking pupils, dedicated and inspirational staff and well informed, supportive Governors all aiming to provide and deliver outstanding learning outcomes. A school recognised as being “Good” in our Ofsted inspection of  March 2015 and SIAS inspection (May 2012).

Every effort is made to create a caring and stimulating learning environment, in which both children and staff feel valued and can develop to their potential.  The school also has a commitment to the continuing professional development of all its staff.  The school has achieved National Healthy School Status, Sports Mark, F.A. Charter Standard and Arts Mark (Gold).  Several building projects have recently been completed to extend and develop the facilities.

Pupils are offered an outstanding range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities, and every year they raise thousands of pounds to support many different charities by engaging in fun events such as our annual Fun Run.

Every pupil is provided with a wide range of experiences, and encouraged to develop interests and skills which will form the basis for future learning and social development. Our children continually perform well at upper school and reach high levels of GCSE and A level attainment.

Henlow Church of England Academy promotes an environment which is well-ordered and encourages self-discipline and respect for the views, opinions and property of others. Pupils take a great deal of pride in themselves, their school and their community.
Our children’s achievements, in all aspects of life, are celebrated and they are actively supported to reach their full potential as learners and members of society.
