Hours: 32.5 hours per week Monday - Friday term time only

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational teacher with a proven track record for achieving high standards of quality. This teacher will be need to be an experienced Science and/or STEM teacher as they will be the lead for the Science and STEM provision in our school; in addition to the responsibility for supporting their own small tutor group.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent skills in planning and teaching across the curriculum, have the ability to support students’ academic learning, adhering to the Educational and Healthcare Plans they may have, as well as supporting wider behavioural and emotional needs.

There is a strong focus on safeguarding at our schools and we would expect all candidates to factor this into everything they do.

Quay View School and Tor View School, together with three children's homes, constitute Southern Peninsula Services.  The homes specialise in care for children and young people aged 7 to 19 with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Complex Special Educational Needs and SEMH.  The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people, who may have experienced challenges in their lives, is always paramount: along with consistent encouragement to achieve their full potential.

At Southern Peninsula Services, we offer bespoke placements for young people (boys and girls) aged 7 to 19 years who have complex needs including SEBD, ASD and other learning disabilities.

In liaison with the commissioning LA’s and parents, we are able to make clear decisions about the educational and care programmes that best meet the individual needs of the young person. Our programmes are also supported by on-site therapy services, where necessary.
